DETERMINATION OF CORRELATION FACTORS AFFECTING SOURCE WATER QUALITY ACCORDING DNEPROVSKIE WATER INTAKES KYIV

The largest rivers are the main source of water supply in Ukraine. Specific changes of water quality in main water supply sources are taking place due to climate fluctuation. There are changes in the nature of phytoplankton as well, which make existing water treatment plants work with difficulties. There is analyzed long-term research of water quality in Kyiv water intake during the period of active vegetation phytoplankton in this article. It was studied data from 2006 to 2011, years before the temperature jumped from 1983 to 1985 were taken for comparing. It was analyzed the relationship between color, turbidity, phytoplankton and its components, temperature, nutrients. They were taken the base correlations between each of the elements listed in the form of correlation matrices. It was made checking for compliance data distribution – normal. Correlation was determined by Pirsonm and Spearman. Based on these correlations the requirements for treatment facilities in accordance with the current temperature trend. One of the main conclusion is necessity to improve the ability of barrier structures for remove phytoplankton, manganese, soluble organic matter, color, and ability to provide such facilities to aeration source water.

CLEANING OF MINE WATERS FROM URANIUM WITH THE HELP OF CATIONIC FLOCCULANTS

In work the estimation of the efficiency of water purification from uranium cationic flocculants and coagulants such as RIKS-A0, Polvak-68, aluminium sulphate, ferrous sulphate (II). The processes of uranium-containing cleaning of mine waters depending on the type and dose of flocculants and coagulant, the effect of the Ph of the medium on efficiency of purification of water from uranium, developed terms of achieving full of water purification from impurities of uranium.

PECULIARITIES OF PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL TRANSFORMATIONS OF IRON IN UNDERGROUND WATERS

The article presents an overview of physical and chemical transformations of various forms of iron which are typical for groundwater. As factors that influence the form and contents of iron, the presence of oxidants, pH, redox potential, ionic composition of water and the presence of organic compounds ( mainly humic substances) are considered.

REMOVING FLUORINE FROM WATER BY TITANIUM AND ALUMINIUM COAGULANTS

Comparative effectiveness of  titanilsulphate, aluminiumsulphate (AS), based sulphate (BSA 2,0 ) and based chloride (5/6 BCA) of aluminium depending on pH (8,0 – 6,3) and alkalinity (5,0 – 2,0 mmol/L) under removing fluorine from water has been studied. The fulfilled researches indicate about the higher effectiveness of BSA 2,0 and 5/6 BCA in  comparison with SA under removing fluorine as well as special aimed decreasing pH and alkalinity that provide the decreasing of reagent expenditures and the obtaining water of necessary qualities. It is shown that the using of titanilsulphateunder fluorine removing is perspectiveless.
