TREATING MICROBIOLOGICAL FLUIDS WITH METAL FILTERS, CHARACTERIZED BY VARIABLE SIGN AND MAGNITUDE CHARGE OF SURFACE

In the paper, to study the effect of structural and electrochemical parameters of metal-ceramic filters based on titanium as the objects were selected cultures of bacteria Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis, and yeast cells Saccaharomyces cereviciae.

It was found that the electrofiltration process proceeds at small values of potential difference on the porous metal-ceramic membrane and the counter electrode (-1.5 V). When the potential difference <1.8 V – takes place electrofiltration process with intensive sedimentation of bacterial cells to filter, when a potential difference >1.8 V begins the electrolysis of water, accompanied by anode deposition of atomic oxygen and thereby sterilized aqueous colloid-disperse solution of microorganisms.

We had found that Gram-positive bacteria are filtered better than Gram-negative. All microorganisms are separated from the liquid well, but living cells keep better than dead, mobile keep better than immobile, rodlike bacterium – better than spherical.

EUREKA: POTABLE WATER

The total pollution of surface reservoirs – the sources of potable water – by waste and storm water causes necessity to apply many different traditional and latest methods of water processing. Such every technology procedure distances the potable water quality from “the physiological optimum”. It is proposed to use the chemical, physical-chemical methods exclusively for the renewal of the quality of utilized waters before their return into the surface reservoirs. Physiologically full valued water must be prepared by means of passing water from pure surface sources through the slow filter with immobilized probiotic bacteria on the charge.

WATER IN CITY: THE HYGIENIC ANALYSIS OF WAYS OF OPTIMIZATION OF WATER DELIVERY OF THE POPULATION

In this article socially-hygienic aspects of some ways of the decision of a problem of optimization of water delivery for the Odessa’population are analysed. The analysis is executed within the limits of the concept the WHO/OON of “risk management» in the water delivery. On materials of own researches and data of the literature perspective of application of such approach for consideration of a problem of optimization of water supply of the population has been proved  – in historical aspect, for the analysis of innovations and the forecast of efficiency of their application.

PRODUCTION RESEARCH OF INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT IN BIOREACTOR WITH IMMOBILIZED MICROORGANISMS

Wastewater of food industries contains high concentrations of nitrogen compounds mainly in the form of ammonium nitrogen The effective anaerobic-aerobic wastewater treatment technology from nitrogen compounds of malt industry wastewater is proposed. Biotechnology is suggesting with consistently jointed anaerobic and aerobic bioreactors with сcarrier for microorganisms immobilization. Design and process parameters of laboratory installation are makes. This technology allows to reach high levels wastewater treatment from organic (86-95%) and nitrogen compounds (81-93%).

FEATURES OF ACCUMULATION OF HEAVY METALS BY AQUATIC LIVES AT BIOREMEDIATING OF AGRICULTURAL SEWAGES

In the article the brought results over of researches of heavy metals accumulation in fithomass and in a rootage aquatic of the hyacinth. Investigational of of conformities to law of his distribution are during  the processes of cleaning of sewages. Certain coefficients of transition of zinc, cadmium, copper and lead are in the plants of Eichornia.

ANAEROBIC-AEROBIC TREATMENT OF HIGHCONCENTRATED INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER

COMBINED METHODS FOR WATER PURIFICATION AND DISINFECTION. THE THIRD MESSAGE: COMBINED APPLICATION OF CHLORINE WITH UVI OR OZONE

The review of data of the literature concerning the combined application of chlorine with ultraviolet irradiation (UVI) or ozone is presented. The analysis has shown, that efficiency of such combination in essential degree depends on a number of conditions which can be divided on two groups: the first – an optimality combination of certain doses for UVI and chlorine; the second – difference of influence of рН and temperatures for ozone and chlorine on efficiency of their combination with UVI.

PILOT TEST OF HUMIC COMPOUNDS REMOVAL FROM DNIPER RIVER WATER BY COAGULATION – ULTRAFILTRATION

Combined coagulation – ultrafiltration technology of Dniper river water treatment was investigated in this study. High humic compounds content, that typical for Dniper river water, can essentially decrease efficiency of water pretreatment as by traditional technologies so by an ultrafiltration. Performed investigations showed that in-line dosing of coagulant before ultrafiltration stage can increase efficiency of color and permanganate oxidation removal.

PECULIARITIES OF PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL TRANSFORMATIONS OF IRON IN UNDERGROUND WATERS

The article presents an overview of physical and chemical transformations of various forms of iron which are typical for groundwater. As factors that influence the form and contents of iron, the presence of oxidants, pH, redox potential, ionic composition of water and the presence of organic compounds ( mainly humic substances) are considered.
